Systems Assembler

Laser Shot is seeking a Systems Assembler to assemble, test, upload software, and modify commercial off-the-shelf products, electronic assemblies, and/or occasional light fabrication.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Meet deadlines set by production schedule.

  • Assemble electrical or mechanical components, sub-assemblies, wiring, and assembly casings using fasteners such as rivets, bolts, etc.

  • Install software and configure Microsoft Windows settings, configure basic networking settings, perform Microsoft Window updates, update device drivers.

  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical devices and electronic components.

  • Clean components and parts, using chemical cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.

  • Read and understand technical diagrams, specifications, instructions, production work orders, and reports to determine requirements and assembly instructions.

  • Mark and tag components for inventory tracking and identification.

  • Position, align, and adjust work pieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly.

  • Pack finished assemblies for storage, sometimes using pallet jack.

  • Drill and tap holes in specified product locations to mount control units, and to provide openings for hardware, wiring, and instruments.

  • Maintain inventory and non-inventory production parts, manufacturing supplies, tools, and sub-assemblies.

  • Conduct tests, prepare reports, and document results.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work space.


Requirements / Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years relevant or assembly experience preferred

  • Entry-level proficiency with Windows 10

  • Familiarity with computer components and network devices

  • Ability to use power and hand tools to complete assemblies

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted


Work Environment:

  • Enclosed general office and enclosed assembly room environment


This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM. Compensation is based on qualifications & experience. Laser Shot offers an excellent benefit package including paid holidays, paid vacation/sick days, and 401K.
